Solar companies to sue government

17 companies suing the British government for £140million. 2012 has been a bad year for the solar industry, not just because of the endless rainfall, but because Osborne cut away most of the incentive provided by the Feed in Tariff - causing immense problems for the Renewables industry which had geared up to meet the demand.

Meet the Team!

Rushcliffe Solar is a growth from the West Bridgford Transition group and was first dreamt up by David Nicholson-Cole as an ambitious idea for the group to pursue. The idea was supported by Karina Wells (West Bridgford Transition group) and Hugh McClintock (Pedals cycling campaign) of West Bridgford. In Rushcliffe, our partners are Sheila Hood and Paul Philips of the Sustainability group of Rushcliffe Borough Council.

RBC are the principal funders of the first two months of the campaign.

The Energy Saving Trust will take a key role in Rushcliffe Solar, with continuing support, and we have a growing list of Solar Installers, prepared to contribute subscriptions.

David Nicholson-Cole works at the Dept of the Built Environment, University of Nottingham, and has a teaching/research interest in Eco-construction and Eco-HighRise design.
